• St Savin our local town with 2 supermarkets, banking, flower shop, tourist centre. A lovely old square, bars,  ancient Cathedral, and Unesco rated murals 
• Montmorillon - Le Cite de l'ecrits - city of writers - set either side of the river, cobbled market square, resaurants and cafes..
• Chauvigny - a must to visit on market day or just to climb up into the ancient town and abbey, enjoy the views or eagle displays
• Nalliers - our local village with a  great river and good place to cyle or walk to..
   

Ready for more cosmopolitan comforts?  Poitiers is just a 40 minute drive away, take a visit to Futuroscope perhaps, the old walled city, visit the many cafes and restaurants... The new aqua park at Poitiers is enormous fun and a must for the whole family...

Of perhaps a day trip to La Rochelle - this is a trip we have often taken and well worth a visit to the old port and beautiful beaches either side of the town..
